November News at Emerge

Hi to all our followers! It has been a great start to the new term after all the Halloween fun.

On Monday, we had a visit from Kathryn Robson who is Chief Executive of Adult Learning Wales, the National Organisation for adult community learning in Wales. 'A firm supporter of lifelong learning opportunities for all, Kathryn is committed to driving forward the adult education and inclusivity agenda, giving greater accessibility to learning for communities across Wales'. https://www.adultlearning.wales/about/senior-management-team/chief-executive-kathryn-robson/

Kathryn came along to our project at The Stiwt Theatre, Wrexham and joined in learning Makaton sign through song and played the drum with us all. Kathryn also took time to chat to our learners about the expressive arts course we are running in partnership with Adult Learning Wales.

Learners and carers had the opportunity to talk about how important the course is for them and for some it is the only activity they access all week. Kathryn said she really enjoyed the visit and loves the work we do at Emerge Community Arts. We want to thank Kathryn for all her support and advocacy for our partnership projects in Wales.
